Gavin looked down the hallway of the building, he sighed and removed his head from the hall and back into the office, plopping himself down back into his chair. He wanted to see Michael. No, he needed to see Michael. It had been a day or so since he had and he was starting to get anxious. Finally after waiting twenty more minutes he jumped out of the chair as he heard someone stepping down the hall.
"Hello?" He cooed out, poking his head back into the hallway, seeing Geoff walking through with a somewhat distressed look on his face, he frowned and stepped into the hall, stopping Geoff. "What's wrong?" He asked.
Geoff looked at him through wet hair that dripped into his eyes. "Millie is sick and I've been having to stay up late with her, I'm just tired." He murmured, a pain stricked tone.
Gavin frowned and brought Geoff into a hug, he too cared for Millie, Geoff's daughter. "It'll be alright, she'll be up and planning tea-parties before you know it, then you'll be a different kind of tired, the happy kind." Gavin insisted, his words brought a smile to Geoff's face.
"Thanks, you always know what to say Gav." Geoff confessed, patting Gavin's back and backing out of the hug, his stressed expression lifting somewhat.
"No problem Geoffry!" Gavin cheered, smiling. "Hey, have you seen Micool?" He asked, saying Michael's name goofy as always.
"Why you wanna go make out with him or some shit like that?" Geoff joked, a cocked grin on his face.
Gavin pouted and made a whiny sound. "Geoffff!" He squealed.
Geoff rolled his eyes. "He's at home right now, probably with Lindsey." Geoff explained.
Gavin flinched at Lindsey's name. Lindsey was Michael girlfriend, and though Gavin thought she was such a sweet and funny gal, he hated that she got what he wanted. Michael. "Okay, thank you!" He said, faking a smile and trotting past Geoff into the hall, trying to hide some hurt.
Geoff watched Gavin leave, he knew what was hurting at him, he could see right through that fake smile. "Maybe one day Gav. You'll get to have Michael all to yourself." Geoff spoke to himself, walking down the hall in the other direction.
Once out of the building Gavin's fake smile drained to a sorrowed frown. He walked to his car and unlocked it, grabbing something from inside and almost falling onto the ground. In his hands was a hand-made Fluttershy doll, it had two tags on it, one reading TO: My little Michael and the other reading, FROM: Your boy P.S. I love you. Gavin sighed and looked at the button-eyes of the doll. He wandered if Michael would want his crafted doll, or if he would even appreciate it.
Standing up, he walked back to his car and placed the doll in the passanger seat, sitting himself in the driver side. Putting the key in the hole, he turned it and heard the sound of it turning on. Backing out of the 'Roosterteeth' driver way, he heading over to Michael's place, hoping with all his heart that Lindsey was not there.
Gavin hopped out of his car with the doll behind his back, racing up to Michael's door. Knocking he waiting silently for the aburn-haired boy to answer the door.
Michael heard a knock on his door and blinked, "Be right back Lindsey." He told the female sitting close next to him. Getting up off the couch, he heading for the door, turning the handle and opening it to see a fimilar British man's face. "Oh, hey Gav." He spoke, smiling at the burnette.
Gavin smiled back, but once he saw Lindsey in the background his smile turned fake, but he keep it on. "Hello, love!" He grinned, eyes glistening as if about to cry. "May I come in?" He asked.
Michael smiled back at the man's voice, it seemed happy enough. "Of course." He answered, moving out of the door frame to open a way for Gavin.
Gavin marched in, managing to keep the doll hidden and plopped down on a chair near the couch, smiling at Lindsey, "Hello Lindsey!" He exclaimed, using that fake smile and the fake happiness he knew how to use so well.
"Hi Gavin, come to make out with Michael?" She joked, tiliting her head to the side in an attempt to keep a totally serious face while saying the words.
Gavin laughed and tilted his head too. "You know it!" He answered, chuckling a bit after the joke too. But it was all fake while Lindsey was here.
Michael couldn't help but chuckled too and he sat down next to Lindsey, who curled up with him. "So, Gavin, what brings you to Casa De Mikey?" He asked, leaning his head back on the couch.
Gavin laughed a bit at that and smiled. "I haven't seen you in two days Mikey Wikey! I missed you, where have you been?" He asked, half-pouting it.
'Mikey Wikey' grinned. "I've been busy Gavvy Wavy, but glad to see someone cared to check up on me." He replied, laughing at the pet name Gavin had just mentioned, countering with his own.
'Gavvy Wavy' smiled at Michael's smile and laughter. "I couldn't just let you disappear without a reason!" He said sternly, but with laughter at the end.
Lindsey laughed at the two idiots doing their thing and leaning into Michael, catching his attention.
Michael turned to face Lindsey and smiled at her, blushing lightly at seeing her blush in general.
Gavin stopped laughing and began to speak lightly, "So, Michael, I made you.." He didn't get to finished his sentence before opening his eyes to see him laughing and facing Lindsey instead of himself. Seeing them kiss lightly, he lost it. He jumped out of the chair, surprising both Michael and Lindsey.
"Gavin what's wrong?" Michael asked, moving a bit to motion Gavin to sit back down, seeing the panic with a hint of pain on his best friend's face.
Gavin shook his head fiercly before the tears came. No one had even seen Gavin cry, this took Michael by surprise. Before Michael could even begin to mutter another sentence Gavin bolted out of the building, leaving the hand-made plush behind. He raced towards the car, but forgot about it and ran right out into the street, falling on the ground in the middle, and curling into fetal position, heart thumping and shattering and tears refusing to stop.
Michael gasped with a confused look on his face as Gavin ran out the door, not even hesitating to stop. He turned around to Lindsey who had just as a confused look on her face as he did and out of the corner of his eye saw the Fluttershy doll laying there, abandond. He walked towards it and picked it up. Lindsey walked over towards him, curiously eyeing the doll.
He read the notes on it aloud to Lindsey, his look changing to distress as he did so.. "TO: My Little Michael... FROM: Your boy... P.S. I love you Michael." He spoke, eyes staring at the doll.
Lindsey looked at the doll and then out the door. "So.. he must actually.. like you." She cooed, feeling bad for Gavin at this point.
"Y-Yea.." Michael replied. He sat the doll down and turned around, marching towards the door. Lindsey didn't follow at first, but after he was out she pushed towards the door frame, staring outside. They both saw Gavin laying in the road, crying his eyes out and in fetal position. He was an absolute mess at this point.
Gavin waited for a car to come and run his body into a lifeless mess of blood and guts, or something of the sort. He just wanted to die. He'd seen Lindsey and Michael kiss before, but this one just made him shatter, he'd never felt like this before. His heart was in a million pieces and his mind raced.
Michael ran to Gavin, tears beginning to form at the brims of his eyes too. He'd never meant to hurt his friend, if he had only known. "Gavin!" He shouted, stopping at the edge of the driveway, staring into the road where Gavin lay.
Gavin opened his eyes slightly, eyes flicking to where to sound came from. He saw Michael through his blurred vision. "Micool. I'm sorry.." He cried out, covering his head with his arms, still waiting for that car to come and end it.
Lindsey watched them from the beginning of the drive way, she felt extremely bad, if she'd known she would of made them talk to each other, try to sort things about, but she didn't. She couldn't do anything now.
"Gavin its not your fault! I'm the one who's sorry!" He insisited, tears falling, beginning to walk into the street before he heard the loud sound of a vehicale. He froze in fear, not able to move at all anymore. The car wipped past, not paying any mind to the man laying in the road. There was a scream and another scream and another. One from came from Gavin he knew, one came from himself, and one from Lindsey who watched in horror, covering her mouth with her hands. After the car had past, not even stopping to check on what he'd hit, all that was left was a trail of blood and Gavin's bleeding body, still alive but barely.
Gavin's body shook in horrid pain and fear, his intestines lay scattered on the ground, blood pouring from his open wound. The pain was more than he'd ever felt before. It felt like he was being torn limb from limb ever so slowly but kept alive to feel it. It burned like someone has lit a match in his heart and left him to burn. He shifted his arms, making him scream in pain. Refusing to give up, he lifted himself off the ground, his intestines dragging on the ground, leaving spots that weren't already covered in blood red, as he walked towards Michael. "Micool. Micool it hurts. It hurts so bad." He whimpered, crying so much that everything was blurred and he once tripped over his own internal organs that made themselves external.
Michael couldn't do anything but watch the soon-to-be dead Gavin struggle his way towards him. His stomach threatened to throw up everything watching Gavin's organs drag as he walked. "G-Gavin." He stuttered, trying to keep himself from barfing. He ripped out his phone and dialed three numbers. 9-1-1.
"911, what's your emergancy?" The operator asked.
"My friends just been hit by a car! B-Blood e-everywhere!" He shouted through the phone.
"Okay, stay calm, whats your location, is your friend breathing?" They continued on through the words they were taught to say.
"3212 Garrison ave, the scenes pretty noticable. Yes.. he.. hes walking towards me. Please hurry!" He demanded, gulping as Gavin inched his way towards his position.
"Okay. Stay on the phone, the paramedics will be there soon." They instructed, Michael did so, but dropped the phone from his ear to his side and stared at Gavin.
Lindsey took her own phone from her pocket and called everyone who worked at Roosterteeth. Geoff, Gus, Burnie, Chris, Brandon, the list went one and ended with Ray. All she could tell them was, 'get the fuck over here, Gavin's been in an accident!' and went on to the next person. Of course, that was all they needed to hear and they came racing in their cars.
Geoff came first, he saw the horrid scene first. The blood. Gavin. Michael crying, Lindsey screaming, and in the distance a red and blue flashing light of the paramedics racing here. Griffon almost threw up at the scene and they both got out of the car, running over to Michael and Gavin. "What the fuck happened!?" He screamed, causing Gavin to turn his head weakly towards him, but not stopping in trying to get towards Michael.
"He came over and saw me and Lindsey kiss and just started crying and left! I tried to get him out of the road before the car came but it was too late!" Michael answered, wiping some tears from his eyes. He reaching his arms out towards Gavin, embracing him despite how absolutly discusting the scene was, blood began to get all over him, but he didn't care. "Gavin.. its gonna be okay. Your gonna be fine." He repeated as he watching Gavin began to stiffer and begin to die away.
The paramedics came out and forced Michael to give up holding onto Gavin before lifting him onto a stretching and taking his organs off the ground, placing them in metal trays. As soon as they got Gavin into the back of the truck, the other Roosterteeth workers arrived, Kara and Barbra puking on sight of the blood and left over pieces of Gavin's organs. Ray and Burnie's eyes lay open wide, froze in horror. Michael tried to go with Gavin but they wouldn't let him, "Sir, we need to get this done quickly or your friend will die." They told him. "I DON'T FUCKING CARE! HE'S MY BEST FRIEND! LET ME GO WITH HIM!" Michael yelled as loudly as possible, trying to run into the truck. Two cops that had arrived had to hold him back as he struggled in their grasp. "GAVIN! GAVIN!" He screamed repeatedly, tears rolling down his flushed cheeks fast. "GAVIN! I LOVE YOU!" That was the last thing he screamed before the truck closed the doors and took off quickly. The two men released Michael and took off in their police cars, sirens shouting from them.
This left Michael, covered in blood and tears and wailing for Gavin. He collasped on the ground, blood getting all over his body and hair, but he didn't care still. His vision was completely blurred from tears and his throat was beginning to burn from screaming so much but he didn't care because whatever he was going through was so much worse for Gavin.
Geoff, Burnie, and Ray went over to comfort Michael. "It's okay Michael, he'll be fine." Geoff insisted, frowning at the scene of Michael raging out of sadness and not anger.
Barbra, Griffon, and Kara all comforted Lindsey as she stood frozen watching Michael kick and cry, screaming for Gavin.
"IT SHOULD OF BEEN ME! I SHOULD OF BEEN THE ONE HIT!" Michael screamed, his voice beginning to become hoarse. "IT'S ALL MY FUCKING FAULT. I'M SUCH AN ASSHOLE FOR NOT NOTICING EARILER, FOR NOT EVEN BOTHERING TO CARE ABOUT GAVIN'S FEELINGS!" He continued. "AND NOW GAVIN IS GOING TO DIE AND ITS AND MY FAULT AND I WILL NEVER GOT TO TELL HIM HOW I REALLY FELT." He finished, his voice cracking into a loud sob at the end.
Ray frowned and brought Michael into a hug. "Michael. Gavin is going to live through this. He is apart of Team Lads and Team Nice Dynamite. He wouldn't just leave us. But you need to calm down!" Ray spoke, sternly, this made Michael stop screaming and instead bury his head in Ray's shoulder and cry and sob.
Geoff looked over to Griffon and the other girls, then at Ray and Michael. "We should get him cleaned up, he's an absolute mess." Geoff scoffed, reaching down for Michael and picking him up, surprising himself at his strength. He carried Michael back into his apartment with the others following, they all started to dry their tears. Geoff sat Michael down in the bathroom. "Get yourself cleaned up and we'll get something to eat, then go see Gavin's smile." Geoff spoke, hinting in his words that he knew Gavin would life, even if he was very unsure of it himself.
Michael looked up at him and managed to fake a smile. He stood up and closed the door, locking it. He turned towards the bathtub and opened the curtain, turning on the shower. He rid himself of his filthy clothes and climbed in, washing the blood from his hair and other body parts. Once done he climbed out and wrapped a towel around his wasnt and one in his hair. Looking at himself in the mirror, he almost began to cry again, but stopped before the tears could fall. Be strong. For Gavin. He told himself. And he did. He stepped out of the bathroom and headed to his room, getting some clothes from his dresser and putting them on. One he had his pants on he began to rub the towel on his hair quickly to dry it off. Sighing, he tossed the towel to the side and put on a shirt, staring at himself in the mirror. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a somewhat shiny blue figure, a neckless. A minecraft diamond neckless. He quickly grabbed it and put it on. Looking at himself in the mirror on last time, he stepped back and out the bedroom door.
Geoff turned to him with a smile, "Ready for food?" He asked, looking at his necklace for a bit and remember that Gavin had its counterpart.
"Yea.. I guess so." He mumbled, faking a smile.
Lindsey frowned and stepped towards him, "He'll be okay, but you need to relax." She inisted. Barbra and Kara nodded behind her.
Michael sighed and nodded back at her.
Ray burst in and grabbed a hold of Michael's wrist, dragging him out the door and towards the cars, he was careful to evade any signs of blood. "Come on Mikey! FOOOOD!!" He shouted, throwing Michael into the car.
Gus and Burnie laughed and the group headed for their own cars, packing in and waiting for Ray to drive out, once he did so, they followed.
"Looks like we're the leaders, where do you wanna eat Mikey?" Ray ask him, looking in their rear-view morrior at the others following their car.
Michael thought for a second and the first place that came to mind was Chile's, Gavin's favorite place to eat. "Chile's." He suggested.
Ray smiled, seeing the restraunt down the street. "Good choice." He exclamined, pulling into Chile's parking lot.
Michael chuckled a bit and opened the car door, watching the other cars roll in. Kara jumped out of her car and ran to Michael and Ray, an excited grin on her girly features. "YES! CHILE'S!" She exclaimed, running into the store. Barbra laughed and looked to her side, almost saying Gavin's name, but stop herself when the G came out.
Michael heard heard the beginning of that five ltter name. He immediantly turned around and ran into the building behind Kara.
All eyes turned to Barbra. She waved her hands in defense, "Sorry!" She stuttered, blushing in embarrasment from so foolishly mention Gavin.
They all face-palmed and walking into Chile's, seeing a Michael and Kara waiting to get their seats and order.
After dinner, which lasted more than an hour, Michael ran outside and jumped into the car. Ray got in after him and laughed, "Why so eager to leave?" He questioned. Michael turned to him with a serious face.
"Gavin." Was all he said, Ray caught the hint.
Ray's expression dropped. "Okay.. no promises though." He explained, this didn't make Michael any less determined to see the Bristish man, even he was on his deathbed, he NEEDED to see Gavin.
Ray sighed and backed out of the parking lot, and as soon as the others saw him going in the direction of the hospital they followed, but hesitantly.
Soon Ray had parked the car in the hospital parking lot, close to the door, and Michael jumped out of the car, running into the huge building.
The nurse looked at him with concern on her face. "What's wrong?" She asked.
"What room is Gavin Free in?" He asked quickly, his words were rushed and spaztic.
She took a quick glance at the computer and then looked back up at Michael. "203, but he's still being helped I think, I don't think you can--" She didn't even get to finish her sentence before Michael ran off, and even at that all Michael heard was 203.
Racing down the halls, he finally saw the door with the number 203 on it, he reached for the handle and twisted it, peeking in. He saw Gavin laying on the bed, sleeping peacefully, he no longer had a look of pain on his face and that made Michael happy.
Michael stepped in completely and closed the door behind him.
Ray and the others walked in and when Michael wasn't in the lobby they knew where he was, so they decided to wait and let the two get some alone time.
Michael brought a chair and sat next to Gavin, admiring his features as he slept.
Gavin heard sound from another in the room and his eyes fluttered open, his emerald shaded eyes shining in the light of the room. "M-Micool?" He questioned, sitting up a bit.
Michael smiled widely when Gavin spoke, for once he was happy to hear Gavin's goofy Bristish accent. "Gav, your okay!" Michael exclaimed before bringing Gavin in for a side hug.
"Of course I am you git!" He snapped, laughing.
Michael looked at him and smiled again, from inside his jacket he pulled out a fimiliar doll. The Fluttershy one. He showed it to Gavin. "Thanks for this." Michael thanked, holding it softly, sweetly.
Gavin looked at it and then into Michael's eyes. "I'm sorry." He managed.
Michael shook his head at Gavin. "It's not your fault, I'm just glad your okay." He explained, sitting the doll next to Gavin.
Gavin looked at the doll and smiled, he enjoyed having Michael by his side, he frankly didn't think he would even come.
Michael quickly sighed and looked around the room. "So, when are you getting out of the place?" He asked, he knew with the wounds Gavin got it wouldn't be too soon, but he needed to know, he wanted his poor best friend to be out of this godforsaken hell hole.
Gavin sat up a bit and lifted up his seperate gown-shirt, a huge scar ran from where his ribs ended to his belly button. "As long as it takes for this to heal. The doctors said I was lucky, I don't really remember much, cause I'd lost a lot of blood, but they said my organs where just hanging outside my body." He explained.
Michael immediantly turned his attention towards the scar, it was horrible, but he couldn't help but stare at the lines that lead into his pants, then he quickly looked back up at Gavin's eyes. "Yea.. it was pretty bad, I didn't even think a car could do that to someone, but it did. Barbra and Kara threw up, that was kind of gross too." He spoke, smirking a bit at the last part.
Gavin chuckled. "I probably would of thrown up too. They told me how you where screaming and crying trying to get into the ambulence with me, is that.. true?" He asked, his tone quickly changed as he searched Michael's brown eyes.
"Yea.. I was a mess. My throat kind of hurt afterwards too." Michael laughed, rubbing the back of his head a bit, Gavin laughed with him.
The door suddenly opened and both pairs of eyes turned to it, the doctor walked in and looked at Michael in surprise. "How did you get in here?" She questioned.
"I uh.. opened the door? It wasn't locked." He confessed, looking at her with a confused expression.
She sighed, "I forgot about that.. are you his boyfriend or something?" She asked, smirking.
Both Gavin and Michael blushed at this. "N-No! He's my best friend!" Michael protested, even he didn't believe himself.
"Yea, yea, whatever. Listen, I know you want to talk with him and such, but if you wait a day or so he'll be out and ready to talk as much as you want him to." She spoke, motioning for Michael to leave.
Michael frowned but listened, leaving the doll with Gavin. He waved goodbye to Gavin and stepped out the door, but he didn't leave the hospital, he went into the waiting room, seeing his friends. Ray, Geoff, Lindsey, Gus, and Burnie looked up at him when he entered. He noticed that some of the others weren't there, but figured Griffon had to check on Millie and the others must of been busy with something else. "How is he?" They questioned all at the same time.
"Alive. They said he'd be out in a day or two." Michael explained, sitting down in a chair next to Lindsey.
Lindsey looked at Michael's worried features with her own sorrowed look. 'I'm sorry Michael." She spoke softly.
Michael turned to her, confused. "Why would you be sorry?" He asked, fiddling around with his thumbs.
"That this happened to Gavin.. and you had to see it. Maybe if I wasn't there, he wouldn't of run off crying." She rambled, looking down on the ground.
"It's not your fault this happened Lindsey, Gavin just reacted badly, it could of happened anytime, he's okay now though." Michael insisted, this shut Lindsey up with a nod.
After a while Geoff and Gus went home, it was at least 12:30 at night. Lindsey and Burnie tried to convince Michael to go home and sleep, but he refused saying, "I'm going to be here when he gets out of that bed."
The last one to stay with Michael was Lindsey, she still felt guilty and refused to leave until Michael and Gavin were reunited, Michael didn't protest though, he wanted at least one of his friends to be there to keep him company until Gavin was well.
Lindsey finally coaxed Michael to sleep in the chairs at 4:23 in the morning, she watched him sleep for a while before doozing off herself, making sure to lean on the opposite side.
The next morning only Lindsey was awoken by Geoff, they were careful not to wake him. "We're gonna get him home so when Gavin comes back its a surprise." Geoff insisted, Lindsey smirked a bit as Geoff picked up sleeping Mikey, she opened the door to leave and waved goodbye to the nurses. Helping Geoff in the car with Michael, she scoffed a bit at Geoff's childish ways.
On their way home Lindsey played no music so Michael wouldn't wake up and have a fit, because she knew he would. When Geoff carried him out of the car, Griffon, Millie, Burnie, Ray, Barbra, Kara, and Joel were waiting.
Joel, Burnie, and Ray had brought a couch outside and watched as Geoff laid Michael on it. "Waking up to ol' nature." Joel said in Cabooses voice, this made the rest of them chuckle.
An hour later Geoff left to get Gavin and Michael had only just now awoken, and he was PISSED. "WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU TAKE ME FROM THERE!?" He questioned, angry. Griffon managed to calm him down and when Geoff's car pulled up he turned, the door opened, and a British man stepped out. Michael's eyes widened.
Geoff laughed as he joined the group to watch Michael and Gavin stare at each other. They met in a hug, a tight hug, a hug to end all hugs.
Michael pulled back and stared into the younger man's eyes, Gavin stared back.
Geoff was tempted to yell 'Just kiss already' but Griffon refused to let him, so they all smiled for their friends and waited.
After a minute of staring into each others eyes the moment came. Michael brought both hands to Gavin's shoulders and leaned in. Gavin acknowledged the movement and leaned in too, placing his hands on Michael's hips. They met each other is a soft and sweet kiss, and they held it for at least ten seconds.
Clapping sounds could be heard from their friends and one click sound meaning that someone had taken a picture. When the men turned to see who it was it was Lindsey.
"It's official now." She smirked, posting the picture to Twitter announcing it.

So. yea. ;-;
